Salon anti-aging treatment options

More salon anti-aging facial options. Just can't quite understand why you'd do it, OR spend that much money.........

60-minute Facelift Facial It works in two parts - a preparation treatment (fruit acid cleanser and abrasive exfoliation) and a tightening one (LED light uses radiofrequency energy to deliver deep thermal heat into the skin). £400 per session, requires 6 sessions.

The Snail Facial

Three large snails creep all

over your face to deliver their mucus, which is thought to have anti-aging benefits, to your skin.....

First launched in Tokyo this treatment costs £50 per session. www.butterbin.com

Frotox A liquid nitrogen filled device is placed next to the nerves that control 'wrinkle-causing muscles'. This stuns the nerves into hibernation for up to 4-months, causing the muscles to relax and the wrinkles to disappear.

Each treatment cost £400 and works immediately.

The Sheep Placenta Facial Research has shown that the placenta and umbilical cord of mammals contain stem cells which have the ability to repair every type of cell in the body.

So apparently when the serum containing these cells is used in a facial it revitalises cells, forcing them to produce collagen and elastin, resulting in younger-looking skin

It costs around £185 for an hour and 15 minutes (and requires a willingness to have sheeps placenta smeared all over your face.....)

Thermage

Radio frequency is used to heat the deepest layers of the skin to help tighten existing collagen and stimulate new collagen. It’s used to target wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth, eyes or forehead, as well as decreasing hooding in the eye area.

It costs £3,900 for a full face, £2,900 for a half face, or £1,900 for just the eyes.
