Sometimes you have to have a leap of faith......
I'm sitting here writing this blog post feeling so very thankful.
You see, sometimes you have to have a leap of faith, trust your decision, and run with it.
Because, unless you do you'll never find out what might have happened, and you'll never know what doors might open for you.
I remember years ago when I worked for the Ambulance Service and was getting quite bored. I'd been there about 5 years and was already at the top of my game, with only the management ladder to climb, which I wasn't sure I wanted to do.....
I knew I had to find something else to do; a course at Adult Education, find a new hobby, anything to be able to start challenging my brain again.
I'd just moved into my very first own home and was struggling to know what to do with the garden, when my sister suggested I do a gardening course.
I thought she was bonkers! Why would I want to do a course that would be full of old people!?
Well I did exactly that. It was a 12-week, 2 hours per week course that eventually changed my life. And nearly 20-years later I still regularly see some of the people I met on the first course.
You see, I ended up studying horticulture for 5-years, going to university and getting my degree, and becoming an Occupational Therapist (OT). It took 9 years.
But the point is that I never would have become an OT if I hadn't have done that little 12-week course in the first place. I wouldn't have left my job and broken up with my long-term partner. I wouldn't have met my now husband, and I wouldn't have my daughter........
I came to another point in my life where I needed to have a leap of faith, and that was with my network marketing business.
As you know already, I started my business when I was 32-weeks pregnant. I started my business because I knew I wouldn't want to go back to work after the baby was born, so I needed something that I could do from home that would bring in the same amount of money that I was earning in my job.
BUT, after months of doing what I was taught by my uplines I wasn't getting anywhere.
I was forever messaging people on my contacts list.
I was continously posting products in my Facebook group and on my Facebook Page.
I was continuously posting about my opportunity in my Facebook group and on my Facebook Page.
I was hosting home and hotel parties (blimey how much I hate them!).
And I was pestering my family and friends, which really is unforgivable. After all, my MLM isn't the reason they were my friiends but it was definately the reason they started distancing themselves from me. My family, of course, didn't have that luxury.....
I followed everything my upline told me but I was getting more and more frustrated and disheartened because I wasn't selling much, and the people I was recruiting weren't doing anything.
I kept being told "it's all a numbers game", "you only need 11 people in your downline to build an empire".
But by this time I knew I had to do something different, and when I spotted a post by my now mentor Fraser it felt like the right thing to do.
So I clicked on it and signed up for a bootcamp. The leap of faith at that time was to buy actually buy the accompanying ebook, and boy am I glad I did!
But the story doesn't end there. You see, since then my business and how I view it have changed dramatically. I've had opportuntities present themselves to me which I've grabbed with both hands. My business is growing without me having to continually pester people.
But the most exciting thing is that I've been asked to apply for a coaching position with one of my affiliate companies!
ME! BEEN ASKED TO APPLY FOR A COACHING POSITION!!!
I am, of course, applying as soon as I receive the application pack. And I'm VERY excited about it.
And that's why sometimes
you have to have a leap of faith. Because, unless you do you'll never find out what might have happened, and you'll never know what doors might open for you.
