Feeling Like A Liar!

At the end of this weeks series I wanted to give you a round up about affirmations.

When you make powerful affirmations your brain gets to work forming new complex pathways to change your thoughts, feelings and actions.

This process is called neuroplasticity and is all about regeneration!

Affirmations work because your subconscious brain doesn't know the difference what's happened or not, and what's true or not,

and so, when you say a powerful affirmation, it responds as though it's true.

This is how the new pathways are formed.

Sometimes, when you say your affirmations it can feel like you're telling a lie.

Remember, your subconscious brain can't tell the difference between what's happened or not,and what's true or not.

You can turn your disbelief around by visualising your affirmation before you say it . This adds the power of belief to your affirmation and helps your brain to respond.

Remember the lemon exercise?

Affirmations should be written in the present tense, as though they are true right now, and every word a masterpiece.

There is no right or wrong time to say your affirmations,

but when you do you need to say them with emotion, and that emotion should be joy and happiness.

To create joy and happiness when you're saying your affirmations it may help to say them when you're active, as activity releases hormones.

Affirmations won't work if you only say them every once in a while

Repeat your affirmations often, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to say them in full. You can pick out key statements.

And,

your affirmations won't work if you don't take action!

Let me know what affirmations you've created for yourself!

And let me know what changes you've brought about for yourself!

There ARE exciting times ahead........
